Christina Brier – Harp

Christina Brier performs as principal harpist of the Carolina Philharmonic, the Opera Wilmington Orchestra, and the Wilmington Symphony. She also performs widely with Manhattan harpist Kathryn Sloat as a member of the international prize-winning harp duo Lilac 94. Christina’s most recent chamber music endeavor has been co-founding the Brierwood Ensemble which performs in a variety of venues throughout Wilmington and beyond. In 2018, Christina and Wilmington violinist Linda Estep founded the Brooklyn Arts Music academy in the Brooklyn Arts district of Wilmington North Carolina. Christina teaches harp at UNCW, serves as president of the Coastal Carolina Chapter of the American Harp Society, and recently spent six months performing Bollywood music on the harp all over India. Christina received her master’s degree in harp performance from the Eastman School of Music where she studied with Kathleen Bride.
