Christina Brier - harp

Linda Estep - violin

Christina Brier is principal harpist of the Wilmington Symphony, Carolina Philharmonic, and Opera Wilmngton Orchestra. She performs as a guest harpist with the North Carolina Symphony. A co-founder of the Brierwood Ensemble, Christina presents chamber music in a variety of settings. She performs with harpist Kathryn Sloat as a member of the international prize-winning harp duo Lilac 94. In September 2018, Lilac 94 placed third in the International Harp Competition in Saluzzo, Italy. In 2014, Christina spent 6 months touring India performing as a solo harpist and in a duo with flutist Petya Vasileva. Christina received her Master’s degree in harp performance from the Eastman School of Music where she studied with Kathleen Bride.

Linda Estep is an accomplished violinist, active performer, instructor, and conductor of the Wilmington Symphony Youth Orchestra. Her love of music is evident to those around her, and her belief that music can make the world a better place inspires her students and those who hear her play. Linda is a member of Opera Wilmington Orchestra and Wilmington Symphony Orchestra, and she performs regularly with the Tallis Chamber Orchestra, with who she was featuresd as a soloist on “Summer” from Vivaldi’s Four Seasons. She has also performed with the Fayetteville Symphony, Long Bay Symphony and served as concertmaster of the Maranatha Symphony. Linda received her BA in String Pedagogy from Maranatha University.

Christina and Linda co-founded and serve as Executive and Artistic Directors for the Brooklyn Arts Music Academy (BAMA), a non-profit community music school which brings comprehensive music education to over 100 students of all ages and free Music Is Life! preschool classes to 480 children.
