Beth Stovall - vocalist
Martha Hayes - Organ
Beth Stovall is an accomplished vocalist who has attended the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, East Carolina University, and UNC-Wilmington. A member of Concert Choir, Beth was the featured soloist in the choir with the NC Baroque Symphony Orchestra’s performance of Bach’s St. John Passion. She is a student of Nancy King and at present is Lecturer in voice at UNC-Wilmington. Beth has had extensive lead roles in operas and musicals.
Martha Hayes teaches and administers a large private piano studio of more than 50 students, including pianists of all ages. Martha served as organist/choir director at Winter Park Presbyterian Church, Wilmington, NC, and at other churches in Quincy, MA, Reading, MA, and Grand Forks, ND. Besides being a member of our local Thursday Morning Music Club, she also has her students participate in a Junior Music Club, which is also sponsored by the National Federation of Music Clubs. This enables her to participate in annual festivals and participate in the Gold Cup program. Her other professional musical associations include Cape Fear Music Teachers Association, and the MTNA as well as the AGO. Martha holds a BA in Music from Cornell College.
